Crown House is the health and safety division of the commercial insurance broker Cooke & Mason plc and sister to fellow group company Stephenson’s Insurance Services of Lincoln.
Steve Cooke, the founder and Chairman of Cooke & Mason, was driven to form Crown House 10 years ago having seen the futility and variety of work place accidents and their negative impact on everyone involved.
He had become acutely aware of two consistent factors. The Health & Safety Executive is always wise after the event and, if a prosecution follows, the Courts ruthlessly enforce this wisdom, sometimes against individual directors and officers.
Therefore, he decided that his customers should also have the opportunity to be wise before the event and he created Crown House Health & Safety.
Crown House focus on helping clients comply with the law and ensure they benefit from over 35 years of insurance claims knowledge. This ensures that every pound his customers spend on health and safety is spent wisely and in areas which will ultimately reduce claims. This in turn keeps premiums down and allows the insurance division to secure competitive and preferential quotations.
Steve Cooke and his team are justifiably proud of the fact that they have not only achieved these objectives but, as a consequence, also won three national awards. Judges commented that “Crown House’s efficiency, knowledge and friendliness are first class.”
